The 2022 Shou Blanc is a wonderful blend of our LePage Estate grown Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.  This planting is beginning to shirk off its youthfulness and is showing signs of vine maturity emerging in the fruit and the wines extracted.  Crisp, yet lush, this dry white wine resembles the Old World styles of cooler climates more than the more herbaceous tones of hotter New Zealand or California, and if you find basil, lime, avocado or garlic in your dish of fresh sliced garden tomatoes, and a grilled chicken, or fresh off the summer vine pea/bean pods steamed crisp tender and dressed with olive oil and sea salt, this will be a surprisingly lovely match in your glass.

Harvested October 1-10/8/2022, Alc.13%, Total acidity, .66, pH 3.10

Notable characteristics:  67% SB, 33% Semillon, Very classical Pessac style, crisp but full bodied,  Lemon grass, white peach, citrus acidity, silky body.
